This sculpture is a deeply personal representation for the artist, embodying the grace and confidence of a stretching horse. It recalls the serene movements of a young, vibrant horse unwinding along the Ord River – a symbol of freedom and unspoken connection.
This piece represents many things to me, the grace and curve of a stretching horse, his slow languid movements a show of his confidence and connection with me, free to do what he needed to unwind after an exciting ride along the Ord river.
Youth-he was a young horse, fresh and charismatic.
And a reminder to stay healthy and stretch, taking my time to turn my gaze inward.
